iCloud tips and tricks
Safari
The popular Apple browser can be used across systems. But did you know that you can track the pages you surfed on the iPad or on the iPhone (with the same Apple ID)?
The item Safari under Settings / Your name / iCloud / Safari must be activated. Then tap the window icon in the lower-right corner of the Safari app and swipe from top to bottom. The search history is here.
Delete old backups
There may be backups of various devices in the iCloud – even devices that you may not even used anymore. Under Settings / Your Name / iCloud / Manage Storage / Backups you will find the files and can remove them if necessary.
Reduce storage requirements of images
How fun yesterday was! but, photographic documentation of the evening is filled a lot of storage in the cloud. Just open the Settings / Messages / Low Quality Image Mode. This will allow you to keep the photos with less space.
Create backup now
If you want to save something right now and do not want to wait for the automatic save routine, therefore follow the path Settings / your name / iCloud / iCloud backup and press Create backup now.

Send last location for stolen iPhone
Where is your iPhone? It’s Stolen? left on the train? Or in the laundry basket? Find it out under Settings / Your Name / iCloud / Get My iPhone / Send Last Location (remember to turn on this feature first)
Revealing storage hungry apps
In the last check, did you see the flood of installed apps? Maybe there are some apps that you don’t need them at all, but put a lot of data in the cloud. Check it under Settings / Your name / iCloud / manage Storage.
Combat calendar spam
It’s hardly possible to brag anymore: Very brazen advertising tricks try to pop up your iCloud calendar. They simply send you appointments. But beware: Even if you simply reject, the sender receives feedback and therefore knows that the address is still actively used. Then there are still invitations and holes. Log in to the iCloud web version and click the gear in the Calendar app. Under Advanced, check Receive invitations by mail. Then you can safely delete the useless appointments.
