ios 12 bluetooth icon missing in iPhone and not showing up
Since an update can be seen on the iPhone home screen on the top right of the Bluetooth icon no longer. What’s it all about?
When the Bluetooth is switched on but otherwise “idle”, the iPhone has not shown an icon since the upgrade to iOS 12. If Bluetooth is active (eg connected to a headphone), a headphone icon instead appears there instead. The reason is according to Apple have activity, but just not used Bluetooth, today it consume less power than before.
Bluetooth usually has different states on smartphones. If it is completely deactivated, it does not consume any power. Although it is always switched on (read: ready to connect to a device), but idle at the moment, it requires little power.
How to turn off Bluetooth on iPhone
But how do you make sure on an iPhone that Bluetooth is completely deactivated? There are two places where Bluetooth can be turned on or off on iPhones and iPads. One is the control center , which opens when you Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to access Control Center in iOS 12 on iPhone or iPad.
If you disable Bluetooth here, it will switch from a blue to a white Bluetooth icon. Nevertheless, it is not completely deactivated; Bluetooth remains active for certain Apple features (such as the connection to the Apple Watch). If you really want to turn off Bluetooth on the iPhone, you need to open the settings app. Tilt the Bluetooth switch to Off .
Note: The same applies to the iPhone by the way, also for Wi-Fi.
