The transfer of pictures from the iPhone or iPad to the Windows 10 PC is not trivial. How to transfer your images anyway, we explain here.
One thing you have to leave the iPhone: It has a good camera, which is always there. That makes for great photos. However, somehow, they have to find their way onto the Windows PC: for archiving or for further image processing. However, the procedure is surprisingly simple.
Transfer photos directly from iPhone to PC with cable usb
Optional: First, you can install Apple’s iTunes on your Windows PC . This is not absolutely necessary, but the player makes it easier, for example, to upload pictures and music to the iPhone. Download the installation file from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ on your PC and install the Apple media player.
If you have Apple’s iCloud Photo Library on the iPhone enabled (Settings> Apple ID> iCloud> Photos), the transfer is even easier: you no longer need to connect the iPhone to the PC, the image transfer is automatic. All you need is a small Windows software from Apple:

Connect your iPhone to the PC .
Then unlock the iPhone and tap ” Trust ” in the appearing window (or allow otion).
Then open the Explorer . There you will find the iPhone under ” Devices “. In the folder ” DCIM ” you will find the pictures that you can now easily copy to the PC.
iCloud now appears in the taskbar. In addition, a login window opens in which you log in with your Apple ID and password . If you have activated the two-factor authentication , you must now enter the code in Windows and click on ” Next “.
Then open iCloud via the taskbar and tick “Photos” . In the window that appears, click on ” iCloud Photo Library “. Now the menu changes. Click Done .
To transfer the photos to your PC, open iCloud again via the taskbar and click on ” Download photos “. The iPhone images can then be found in Explorer in the “iCloud Photos” folder.
